CHERRY BOMB.

Queer narratives always seem to be always resolved once the protagonist comes out. In my own life, this was not the case.

Five years after that supposedly magical moment, I still question my identity every day. But the most tumultuous period was the end of high school, when I felt pressure from all sides to prove my bisexuality to my peers.

This queer coming of age short film depicts the feeling of having to prove your own sexuality after coming out in high school. When seventeen year old Georgie ditches her younger sister Violet in an attempt to save her relationship, we find that Violet isn’t going to give up on a fun night with Georgie that easily.

Cherry Bomb is nominated for ‘Best Drama’ at Scout Film Festival, and is an official selection at Venice Shorts Film Festival, San Diego International Film Festival, San Diego Film Week, Flikkers Queer Film Festival (AUS), and Los Angeles Student Film Festival.
