Hi! I’m Caro.
I’m a queer, LA-based director, producer, production designer, and photographer with a wealth of multimedia design, animation, color grading, and writing experience across narrative, music video, commercial work. I graduated from USC's School of Cinematic Arts and founded Sworn Friend Studios in 2022 to create stories every day with my favorite people.
I’ve directed videos for musicians including Olivia Rodrigo, Lyn Lapid, Fergie, Maroon 5 and MARIS, and have created commercial work for brands like Adobe and Tinder. In 2021, a Jonas Brothers X Lenovo campaign for which I directed and creative directed video, won a Clio Award. My queer coming of age short film Cherry Bomb found a large online audience and has screened at a variety of International film festivals, while my anticapitalist short The Easy Life is slated for a 2024 festival run.
I have always been drawn to eccentric characters, experimental art, and genre-bending music. In everything I create, I attempt to harness the power of all three to tell vulnerable and bold stories of love, empathy, and liberation.
